Adrian Radocea serves as the Chief Science Officer at Varda Space Industries, joining as an early employee with extensive expertise in materials science, process engineering, and product development. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University and a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, supported by an NSF Fellowship. At Lam Research, Adrian led initiatives in data-driven materials discovery and commercialization of advanced chamber materials. At Varda, Adrian drives innovation in biopharmaceuticals, pioneering the development of microgravity-enabled drug products, and building the pharmaceutical sciences team. His strategic vision shapes Varda’s product strategy and fosters critical partnerships across biopharma. He brings a unique perspective gained from exploring the nanoscale world of atomically precise manufacturing within the semiconductor industry.
