As Manager, International Space Station (ISS) Research Integration Office, Ms. Prouty is responsible for setting the overall strategy and direction of the office, ensuring alignment with the key goals of the ISS Program and the Agency. She is responsible for bringing new customers to the ISS research platform and managing the current customers’ needs and expectations. In addition, she directs and controls the strategic and tactical planning and integration of research to ensure maximum utilization of the ISS. This currently requires management across eight NASA centers, the ISS National Lab management organization (CASIS), five international partners, over 15 commercial companies, and six government agencies outside of NASA. Ms. Prouty is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the Research Integration Office’s resources; including 40 civil servants directly reporting to the office, $100M in budget, 110 matrixed civil servants and over 150 contractors. Additionally, she supports the agency efforts to build a low earth orbit commercial economy.
